About Truncly
Last updated 27 September 2026
Truncly (truncly.app) is a copy-fit checker for marketing and product copy. It shows where 38 screens (marketplaces, search results, email inboxes, push notifications, SMS, ads, social posts and app stores) cut a text, and fixes it to fit.
Why it exists
Every screen cuts text in a different place. A subject line that fits on a desktop disappears after 33 characters on an Android phone; an Amazon title over 75 characters now gets replaced by Amazon’s own AI; one curly apostrophe doubles the cost of a text message. Checking this by hand, one screen at a time, is slow and easy to get wrong.
What it does
Truncly checks one piece of copy against 38 screens at once, shows the exact word where each one cuts it, flags offers, prices, codes and deadlines that would be hidden, and fixes the text: rules first, and AI only when you ask for it. How we measure explains where every number comes from.
Who runs it
Truncly is built and run by one person, Mahmoud Shayeb, from Palestine. It’s not a registered company, and every email is read by the person who wrote the code: hello@truncly.app. See Contact for the legal details.
